چکیده

Abstract Orange peel is a fruit-based biomass produced in huge quantities worldwide, requiring an appropriate management strategy to meet the waste-to-wealth approach. In current study, this agricultural waste was used (as adsorbent) treat dye-laden wastewater, followed by its regeneration and recyclability for dual biogas biochar production. An adsorbent material prepared mixing orange powder (OPP) with (1:1, w/w) remove various pollutants from textile wastewater (TWW) within 30 min. This adsorption system achieved chemical oxygen demand (COD), total dissolved solids (TDS), turbidity, color removal efficiencies of 38.56±1.73%, 29.31±1.25%, 91.92±4.75%, 74.81±3.96%, respectively. The spent cleaned mixed cow dung inoculum) generate via anaerobic co-digestion. maintained bio-CH 4 411.5±21.7 mL/g volatile (VS), equivalent 14.3±1.1% COD initial . Because digestate co-digestion process contained suspended (VSS), VSS/COD percentage 45.2±3.2%, it efficiently pyrolyzed obtain biochar. adsorption/co-digestion/pyrolysis combined revealed financially feasible scenario, payback period 7.5 years. study outputs would fulfill sustainable development goals (SDGs) related minimization, environmental protection, affordable energy supply. Improvement of Biogas Production from Orange Peel Waste by Leaching of Limonene

Limonene is present in orange peel wastes and is known as an antimicrobial agent, which impedes biogas production when digesting the peels. In this work, pretreatment of the peels to remove limonene under mild condition was proposed by leaching of limonene using hexane as solvent. The pretreatments were carried out with homogenized or chopped orange peel at 20-40°C with orange peel waste and he...
